welcome to the 2017 Spring season

Hi Players and Parents,

Welcome to CDC Kindergarden Soccer West.
My name is Chris Potts and I'll be ur coach for the games this season. There are a couple of dates that I'll highlight in this post, team and kit info and some dates I'll add as they populate.

The first date as you know by now is the kick off the season date which is April 15th at 3.30pm at the Shelborne fields. Please see the CDC website for the exact address aswell as an image of the field layout. We are playing near the concession stand, the four small yellow square pitches. Kick off is always the time on the schedule, so please be on time as we only have a one hour window for practice and games. The first 15 mins is for soccer skill coaching, with the remaining 45 mins being for games of soccer (football). If I call the game football I'm talking your soccer, being English I only know the game as football and the field as a pitch.

At the end of each game the kids get a snack and drink on a rotating basis from each player. I'll do the first game and send an email out for sign up for the remaining games. The drink is best being non soda, such as water or Gatorade and the snack being not peanut based. Examples of a snack are Rice Krispie treats, granola bars, goldfish etc.

Your soccer star ⭐️ child will only need to provide a size 3 soccer ball (pls make sure it's inflated) black shorts, shin guards and soccer boots with molded cleats. These are important items for your child to have to fully participate, have fun and stay safe whilst playing.

I'll be handing out the CDC provided team shirt and matching socks on Wednesday 12th of April at Coxhall gardens parking lot; the car park off Towne Rd. As you drive in the gates you'll see the big clock, I'll be to the right of that parked up kicking a ball around with my kids. I'll be there for those of you who want to pick up the jersey and socks ahead of game day, and meet ur child between 4-4.30pm. If you wait until game day I'll be at the field 15 minutes before game time to hand out the kit.

You have the schedule already for the entire season which I know helps planning. The only thing to add is that picture day will be May 6th. I'll give more details closer to the day.

If the weather is bad on game day, lighting and or thunder, the CDC office will email out if the game is cancelled. If it's cancelled we'll do our best to reschedule, please watch out for weather alert emails.
