 Richard Durning / Summer Slam –2010 Tournament Rules
Sponsored by the City of Warwick

1. No Protests allowed – All umpires calls are final. Please be courteous to these professionals.
2. Poor Sportsmanship from Players, Coaches and Parents will not be tolerated and could result in a forfeited game. Coaches or players or parents ejected from a game MUST sit out the entire tournament
3. Please arrive at the field 30 minutes before game time as game times could be moved up as fields become available. Teams should exchange lineups prior to the start of the game. THERE WILL BE NO INFIELD/OUTFIELD WARMUPS BEFORE GAMES OR BETWEEN INNINGS DUE TO TIME CONSTRAINTS.
4. All Teams should check in with the Tournament director at least 1 hour before your first game regardless of where your first game is located.. The Tournament Director will be stationed in front of the Field house at Winslow Park.
5.  All teams must present proof of insurance, along with their official PONY roster and should have birth certificates available upon request.
6. All teams must be PONY registered and must wear PONY patches on their uniforms.
7. Home Team Score Book is official. Teams should verify the score with each other and the umpire each half inning.
8. For all pool and elimination games, no new inning may begin after 1 hour 20 minutes until semifinal and final rounds whereby there is no time limit. International tiebreaker will be used in all pool play games provided there is at least 15 minutes available before the next game. Pool play games may result in ties. International tiebreaker will also be used for elimination games after 7 innings or 1 hour 20 minutes whichever comes first.
9. Tie breakers for seeding: 1) Total wins (2 points awarded for each win and 1 point for each tie.    2) Least runs allowed   3) Coin Toss.
10. Mercy rule is in effect as follows: 12 runs after 3 innings, 10 runs after 4 innings, 8 runs after 5 innings.
11. Dugouts are on a first come first serve basis.  During pool play a coin toss during ground rules will determine home team and the higher seeded team is home team in elimination round.  
12. Players may wear no jewelry during games.
13. The Tournament Director reserves the right to change any aspect of the tournament in case of inclement weather in order to bring the event to a successful conclusion.
14. Rainout/Refund Policy, by team, if no games are played 2/3 of entrance fee will be refunded.  If 1 game is played ½ the entrance fee will be refunded.  If 2 games are played there will be no refund.  Any and all refunds will be mailed within 7 days per PONY rules; there will be no exceptions.
15. All PONY rules are in effect except where they may be overridden above.
