AGS Accepting Travel Coach Inquiries

Apponaug Girls Softball (AGS) is accepting letters from coaches interested in coaching in our travel program for the 2020-2021 season.
The mission of AGS is to develop a player’s softball skills while encouraging a positive social atmosphere. We also seek to promote good sportsmanship and leadership skills in all the young women who participate in our programs.

The Apponaug Pride Travel Program is designed for players who are willing to work hard and would like to practice almost all year around. Each team has indoor hitting practice once per week during the winter and 2 hours of gym time Jan-March. AGS Travel Teams play in the RI Sunday Fall Travel League, the AGS Charity Classic, the RI Sunday Spring Travel League (not 16U and 18U), and 5-6 other tournaments from mid-June through August. Since AGS is a non-profit organization, the cost is minimal while the quality of and facilities remain superior. AGS may offer more than one team per age group if there are enough qualified coaches and players.

AGS prefers coaches and alumna who have demonstrated a commitment to AGS but will consider all qualified candidates.
